Yes..they use sheep fur..but the sheeps don%26#039;t die..they actually HAVE to be shaved..so they just use the fur to make the shoes..they don%26#039;t get hurt

No! They Don%26#039;t get killed! It%26#039;s like shaving a dog in the summer..there miserable with all that hair and get too hot..so they have to be shaved..It%26#039;s not a cruel thing at all..and instead of throwing the fur away..they use it to make clothing and shoes..


The girls at your school are probably referring to Fur Coats..which invovle the animal having it%26#039;s SKIN and fur cut off..

I know this has nothing to do with your question but I noticed that the boots you are interested in are 3 buckle boots. I%26#039;ve never had any luck with a three buckle boot....either they had pinch points which makes for cold and sore feet or they didn%26#039;t grip my feet enough for good control
Reply:Boot with fur that I%26#039;ve seen only have it around the top. It only serves to let snow collect on the extra surface area of the fur, and isn%26#039;t that great.
Reply:I assume you tried these at a store and know that they fit. You NEVER want to buy ski boots without trying them on.

what about faux fur? do you know how animals are killed for fur? i think before you consider fur you should actually see whats being done to these poor animals, it has to be the most horrible thing i%26#039;ve ever seen in my life and probably ever will see. and if you can live with that you have no heart or soul.

I have the crochet ugg boots and my feet still get a bit cold, because it says to not wear socks with them so the cold air goes through the woven wool.

You can buy a woolen insole to slip in under your feet, but as for lining I%26#039;m afraid not. Those boots are really cute but they aren%26#039;t really made for super-cold weather. You may want to try wearing them with some thin trouser socks or even some knee highs just for a little extra warmth. Thin socks won%26#039;t stretch them out.

yes u just have to go look for them.
Reply:There are, but be careful. A bunch of boots and jackets from China which had %26quot;faux fur%26quot; were recently found to be made with dog hair. Might be best to avoid stuff from China.

Reply:well they actuially just give a sheep a %26quot;buzz cut%26quot; so its not hurting them. but its great that you would want to help animals. if you still want fake uggs go to costco, they have amazing ones. for only 40 bucks where as uggs are 140!
Reply:in most they use the wool.. from the sheep not the skin, in some they do, the fake stuff will get really smelly be uncomfortable after about a month cos it will all wear down and get flat, the real ones are more expensive but they last for ages. find one that uses only real wool on the inside and a different material than sheepskin on the outside. you should try getting some from australia.. where they are actually from and i think they are made here. try ebay , but make sure they are new.
